He was also present in 4 NBA All-Stars Games in 1983, 1987, 1994, and 2002. He started as a pro ref in the ABA. Before that he worked 8 years in the Puerto Rico basketball league and 7 years as a basketball and baseball collegiate referee.

Kersey is in desperate need of retirement. He is not top 15 bad, but probably close. I have noticed a lot of botched calls from him in the last few seasons because he couldn't get into proper position.
