I couldn’t help but fall in love with Tracy-Ann Campbell after hearing her heartbreakingly vulnerable vocals on Country Mile
Though their previous album recordings are very basic sounding, this one definitely benefits from the lavish Phil Spector-esque production it has been given. There’s reverb on just about everything from the vocals to the drums and it sounds gorgeous.
By combining deliciously sweet melodies and cuttingly cynical lyrics Camera Obscura have created an album of pure 60s pop to get lost in. (5/5)
