A little erratic at times, but a series of sketches primarily performed by Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett. Ran for years, and featured some pretty impressive talent, and some exquisitely funny stuff. Corbett and Barker are sort of an English version of Abbot and Costello, but with less definition of which was the comic and which the straight man. The show began and ended with the Ronnies at a newsdesk, doing spoof news well before SNL was ever thought of, and always closed with the classic exchange: Corbett: So it's "Goodnight" from me. Barker: And it's "Goodnight" from him. Both: Goodnight.
