May God help protect us from true believers.

I think this is largely due to the misconception of some on the left, particularly that most people think like they do. Most people don't when it comes to religious beliefs and faith. Even the person with the most casual or belief in God can be turned off by a lot of the extreme views that come from the left, like the insistance that Freedom of Religion means no public display of anything religious. Faith is an important thing to a lot of people in this country and most don't take it lightly when it is contradicted.

The louder one proclaims 'faith' the more it sounds like they trust in God. True holders of faith do feel the need to proclaim it because the Word of God requires it ("Go... into all the world..."). Real men and women are not afraid to ask for God's help.

The louder one proclaims 'faith' the more it sounds like fear, ignorance, and insecurity. True holders of faith don't feel the need to proclaim it as if attempting to convince or convert. The pathetic concept of 'faith' adds nothing to anything resembling political debate or discourse. . .follow the fiddler if you want, but the intelligent will keep laughing at those who fawn and obsess about the alleged 'faith' of our dear leaders instead of looking inward and doing some more quiet introspection- perhaps a lesson from the prophet they didn't read or remember. . .
