I've heard that a percentage of husbands only beat their wives when they're drunk. If we can somehow prevent men from getting drunk, it will reduce the amount of battered women. If you have an idea of how to convince men not to get drunk, please share it.

Pretty clearly, cowardly abusive husbands are a major cause of women's suffering in the world. The media just loves to focus on the rare cases of wives beating husbands, just as they love to focus on the rare cases of twentysomething blonde bombshells who make sexual prey of their high-school students, rather on stories about the fat and pervy male septuagenarians who are usually responsible for statutory rape ...
