 | TEBON (0) 12/16/2002 | what a great landmark. . . isn't it always fun when you can see something that you saw in a movie that was made FOR a movie? the Rocky pictures provided so much inspiration for a lot of people, even though they moved it, you can still hear the song when you run the steps at the art museum.

 | magellan (177) 03/10/2000 | A little silly that a fictional character from a movie would become a local hero, but I guess it's all part of the Philadelphia mystique.

 | DrKryptic (7) 01/23/2000 | They have moved his statue so many times around the city, it is hard to keep track of. First it was at the Art Museum, Then Veterans Stadium. Last I saw it it was at the old Spectrum. Regardless, no trip to Philly would be complete without a sighting of the Italian Stallion, Rocky Balboa.

 | dalt533om (0) 10/31/1999 | Philly is a blue collar town that's proud of its blue collar heroes. Even though Rocky is a fictional character, the city is fanatical in its worship of the pugilistic pug from South Philly. After you see the statue, head to the Philadelphia Musuem of Art and take those steps like you mean it!
