My opinion is that there are not enough categories and variety. Would it be too hard to expand and give more options of topics to rate? Other than that, I like it.

I started using it and I am using it on Facebook. It is addictive and fast.

I like it okay. Only thing is, it gives the item and the list it
came from, but no way to see the item description so a person can have a better idea of what he/she is rating. But maybe that isn't so bad because it adds to
the mystery of the list item that was a surprise in the first place.

UPDATE: A question goes through my mind as to whether or not Rate-O-Matic takes a reviewer to things he/she already commented on; might be a comment that the reviewer wanted to keep as is. Something I've just thought about.

Seems like a great idea, however it seems to be timing out a lot for me. Anyone else notice this, or is it just a problem on my end?

UPDATE: No timing out issues when using to speed rate a list. So a five for speed rating lists, but a three for checking the "show me all" box.

UPDATE #2: This may or may not be an isolated incident, but on the last list I speed rated, it worked for a while, but then it said that I had rated the whole list, but in actuality I had rated less than half of the list. Any one else with a similar problem?

UPDATE #3: Using Rate-O-Matic is a pretty good way of finding lists that you otherwise wouldn't find. An improvement that I'd like to see is a link to the list that the item came from. Several times while messing around with the Rate-O-Matic feature I've found myself just wanting to see the whole list that the item came from, and it would be nice to just click on it instead of having to go to my user page and click on my reviews to find the link.

RIA for the attention deficit crowd.

Reminds me of the Firefox extension StumbleUpon. I barely pay attention to the shit I'm reviewing as it is, and I'm searching for crap to rate. Flicking through RAI this way is just up my alley.

Useful at times, especially when I can't find anything to rate at the time.

I like it. It gives you random things to try and rate. Sometimes you will find something to rate that you wouldn't have thought of before.

I found this to be fun and addictive, although it does throw up a fair bit of "WTF" material, which is to be expected.

Interesting and fun addition.

Today we launched an important new feature called Rate-O-Matic! / Speed Rate. Basically, it's a rating game that allows you to select categories of stuff that you're interested in rating. The tool then feeds you random items within those categories, rapid-fire - making sure never to give you something that you've already rated. There's two ways to use Rate-O-Matic. One is by clicking the link in the top right hand side of every page, and selecting your category. For example, if you wanted to speed rate The Girls of Geekdom, you could click HERE. Here's what the link looks like.:

The second way is to go to any individual list page on RIA, and click the "Speed Rate" link on the right hand side above the list.

Be warned, however. This can get pretty addicting. During the testing phase, I rated more stuff than I have in years. I think it's a fast, fun way to discover new stuff to rate on the site. I hope you like it.
