When this man died on May 20, 1996, we suffered a big loss. Whoever chose Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker to star as the Doctor, was very intelligent.Pertwee's incarnation was inspired by James Bond. Pertwee did more fighting than any other Doctor and he liked to drive fast cars. He souped Bessy up and she moved like greased lightning. One bad thing was that it showed Pertwee without a shirt in his first episode and you can see his tattoo. When a Time Lord regenerates, it can't give him/her a tattoo. You could see his tattoo again in his 2nd episode. This took away some of the realism. This Doctor was freaking fantastic!!!! I give him a 5 star rating.

One of the better Doctors: fatherly and intelligent. Doesn't yell as much as Tom Baker, and he's featured in some fascinating episodes with the Master (back before Russel Davies ruined the Master character.) Of all the Doctors, Pertwee was the one who could fight, and he fought a LOT, which added a convincing element to a character who often faced adversaries that could old be defeated with "venusian karate"
