In a brief three year recording career with the band of Benny Goodman and then with small groups including BeBop pioneers Gillespie, Parker and Monk, Charlie Christian essentially introduced the world to the electric guitar and defined it's style and vocabulary for the next 25 years. And his small handfull of records still sound really cool today.

An impressive, sparkling artist who pioneered the electric guitar in jazz (d. 1942), a great innovator.
