 | irishgit (135) 09/20/2007 | Not to disparage the host of Star Wars fans, but virtually all of this Jedi speak is slightly rewritten, or paraphrased musings of people like Sun Tzu, Miyamoto Musashi, Thomas Hobbes, Carl von Clausewitz, Niccolo Machiavelli, Plato and Voltaire.
George Lucas deserves some credit for putting the words in a vehicle that exposes these thoughts to an audience that otherwise would be unlikely to hear them, but they aren't original to the movies.

 | numbah16tdhaha (144) 09/19/2007 | I think this is a great statement about both the strength of ability in combat to prevent conflict and also about how overuse of a blade (or any substitute) will dull it to the point of uselessness.
