Good show, but a tough time to compete with moday sports...give the show a real opportunity

Like the intensity of the characters...Still waters run deep. I'd have to agree with the first reviewer, watch that storyline. Avoid all the cliches of the main characters "hooking up" with their fellow female cops and pretty assistant D.A.'s. Keep the story fresh if you want to suceed the first season. The name "K-ville" implies brutality. Keep the viewers interested by exploring the reality of getting a brutilized and ravaged city back on its feet. Combining of course, the tender underbelly of compassion that always goes hand in hand with helping a victem back on it's feet. I commend you folks at Fox for taking a chance on New Orleans. Your choice in the two policemen are dead on! One last note...Get Cobb a damn dog...he needs something to love.

There were a few too many New Orleans 'cliches'. Also, I've never heard of a "Gumbo Party". We have crawfish boils not "gumbo parties'. With a little work, it could be alright. As far as the Katrina impact on the city, they nailed it. A little less of the cliches and a little more thought provoking plot is needed. Put some mystery (i.e. Lost, Saw) in the plot. It is just the pilot, so maybe it will ramp up a little in the next few episodes.
