RateItAll is Moderated Too Strictly 5

The other night Lawrence told me that it was past my bed time and that I had to log off.

No.  I've let a profane word fly and have been asked by the Lords of the Underworld to modify it. . .fine.  Compromise is healthy.

RateItAll isn't strict at all. I think reviewers would pretty much agree that they can say what they want, when they want, unless they're flaming another individual. Nobody can ever say RIA isn't fair in this way.

I hereby publicly protest the attitude of RateItAll and/or its management for clear and proven religious persecution, discrimination and censorship. The list "The importance of the Ten Commandments" has been once again taken down, and with it, all the reviews left by other members. It is harder and harder to believe that freedom of religion is protected on this site. Magellan, don't you think it's time to do something about it? THERE ARE HACKERS MANIPULATING THIS SITE, WITH OR WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION!!!!! To all: This list has been up all day today and members have posted reviews on it. You can check it out here: http://www.rateitall.com/t-26299-the-importance-of-the-ten-commandments.aspx Try posting a review, anything on the list and check it for yourself. Update: So, we have a "confession" that a list that does not fit the admins criteria, is pulled off, virtually censoring it. The member who makes the list is not notified. He is left with the doubt or the quagmire of finding out what's going on. No help, no assistance from admin, unless you speak out and protest. And then, you are told "your list is not ratable". Period. I was tempted last night to claim the stupidity inferred that the RIA engine actually can judge the accuracy of the English grammar and syntax and automatically takes action when a list is not ratable. Finally, we see who is behind the superior AI. The point is, there IS censorship, religious discrimination and persecution going on on RIA. I wonder what else is.

Lawrence is the founder of this site and he can run it as he pleases. I read through the blogs about the recent upheaval, and even though I shouldn't have this reaction, based on life experiences, I am surprised at all the bruised egos. This business of picking up and leaving is the height of egotism. I know about human nature, and I get angry about it, but the iron verdict of history shows that people haven't changed and don't change very much. You rub them the wrong way and and they get incensed and react. Most often, to steal the old saw, they act quickly in anger and regret at leisure. I wish that there would be a way for those who dropped their accounts to be restored after they got over their snits; however, I suppose that would not be in the cards. Come on, people, this is supposed to be fun and a leisure activity. I realize that pride takes over and causes us to strike out. I know I don't take attacks from morons lightly on this site or any other place, for that matter. That being said, we must realize where we are. I have had my differences with Lawrence, but, either I follow his rules, or I go elsewhere. It's that simple. I was glad to see GoneAway is still on the margin of the site, and I am sorry that she left in the first place. She changed her political and religious views. Wow! I would be interested to see her new posts! Yes, Stark, I knew that primadonna and diva are both feminine gender references. I did that deliberately since I could not think of a masculine item that would fit the bill. If you think it was an insult, well I accept that. Truth is always a defense.

I don't think it is too strict nor not strict enough, and probably won't be- unless Steinbrenner, Stalin, or the nun who was my 6th grade teacher seize power...

*rolls eyes* Alright, I'm gonna let out the secret of my success. Its how I have outlasted the uprisings, the upheavals, the controversies, and its damn skippy the reason I'm at the top of that kooky little list they keep. MAKE RATE IT ALL YOURS. Don't like the content to rate? Post a weblist! Got no allies? Pimp RIA to you buddies! (Hatter, X, and so forth should take a bow) Get out there and say hi to eveyone! Post something completely silly here and there, and make fun of yourself first.
