I hear about this site from a friend - I wanted something more sophiscated than pandora but could possibly tie in with itunes. This is perfect. I havent downloaded any music yet - but its tempting and will probably do it soon. You can search for most any kind of music. I am impressed with their selection - I love world music (everything from africa to south american to japanese r&b) and they have it. Try it and see what imeem does for you!

Imeem is a great site, and I enjoy what it offers, though I am not about to wet myself for it. I do have a profile there, and I have uploaded various media, created a few pointless, yet humorous polls, and have sporadically visited other profiles, polls, media, and left a comment. What I don't like is the limited age group involved, I am surrounded by pre-teens, another mild irritation is that there is a lot of favor for retards attemtpting poetry, and I can barely stand that crap, I think I just vomited in my mouth! There are few who can flow in that sputtering genre, where we have lame excuses such as 50 Cent and Eminem for artists, true musicians with meaningful lyrics such as Common are overshadowed by the vulgar and insubstantial. Also, there are many Asians, much to do with anime, and the general mentality of the site is callow at best; but the services are great!

This site is incredibly, impossibly awesome. It's YouTube for music. Stream any track for free, and grab widgets for any track. Build playlists and play them anywhere. And even more incredible, Imeem is legit. Every major label is in board - Imeem shares their ad revenue with the labels.
