Ricky is such a beautiful person with a big and caring heart. I feel he really tried his all in every challenge. He might have been limited by his background in fashion, but definately had a artistic view all his own. I feel he will have a long sucsessful career in fashion. love you ricky.

ORIGINAL POST (11/21/07): The lingerie background might end up limiting his range -- I don't know how he'll stand up in competitions that require an avant-garde vision. In the more practically minded contests of the first two weeks, his work has been strangely underappreciated. He wasn't in the top two during week two's contest to design for Sarah Jessica Parker, but probably should have been. His red dress was perhaps too wearable -- he's got an eye for stunning looks that comes straight out of a professional background designing clothes that are meant to be taken off as quickly as possible.

UPDATE (1/16/08): I'm disappointed in Ricky because I thought his work would evolve over the course of the season, but he's gotten worse. It seems that every time there's an elimination he's been on the stage, and usually deservedly so. I think the pressure is causing him to lock down into a predictable pattern. After Kit walked the plank for him, I'm downgrading him from a 4 to a 2.

Not awful...but he is probably the weakest link still remaining. I think he has been outdone since the early rounds, yet has somehow managed to hold the judges interest. He should be one of the next few to leave the show.
