The Hyundai Tucson is a basic, entry level SUV. A "pocket" SUV, if you will. It's based on the Elantra platform, and shares the same base engine and platform. This makes for great handling, but it's a bit underpowered in my opinion. You can pack it to the brim with cargo and it will still get you from A to B, but you won't get there quickly and the gas mileage is woeful for a 4-cylinder: 17MPG with cargo in the city. All in all, it's a sturdy, well-constructed vehicle with plenty of creature comforts (shiftronic auto transmission, AC, power everything, etc.), and good value for the money.
