Everyone forgets about Schroeder's because of the weird location, right across the street from the Embarcadero outdoor mall. The great thing about Schroeder's is that it feels like Oktoberfest no matter what month of the year it is: there's an enormous high-ceilinged hall with a lot of dance space where you can waddle around to polka or oompah music. Definitely a great atmosphere, with a large bar area. My only complaint would be the food prices, which are high, like almost everything in the financial district.
