I love a walk here on a warm afternoon. It really is an wooded oasis in an urban setting. I was delighted and somewhat surprised by the wonderful stone garden tribute to T. Roosevelt in the center of the island. Don't miss it. (Take the time to read the passages on the stones, they are well worth your time.)

This is a neat place if you are a walker. There isn't much to see, no spectacular view of the Capitol, but winding wooded trails in betwixt Arlington's high rises and the District's officiousness give a feeling of peace and solitude you won't find at the Air and Space Museum.
