10/19/2007 | Fairly heavy track by Airplane standards. A tune from "Crown of Creation" in 1968, that is a sequel of sorts to " The Ballad of You and Me and Pooneil." Apocalyptic, doomy psychedelic song with just a hint of proto heavy metal. Bizarre, eerie lyrics about nuclear destruction, war, oppression etc.- it covers several topics at once. It's a somewhat 'political' song. There's a bit of bombast in this song, but the playing is really solid.
