I don't in any way rank them as evil, but I would say that they are misguided when it comes to their beliefs! For instances they say they follow the Bible but preach from the Book of Mormon! Overall I don't dislike them but do dislike there conversion methods; One simple word, harassment! They are very different from my christian beliefs but are not EVIL!

People think that something is evil if they do something horribly despicable, but anything that goes against God or God's Word is evil. I'm sure most of the people in this cult are nice people, but niceness doesn't get you to heaven. They are evil because they lead people on the path of destruction.

Fascinating in its history and theology, the LDS Church fills a niche for certain people. I don't agree with it but would not classify it as evil.

I'll leave our resident Theologian to dissect this Group, since I don't know a lot About them. But any group that doesn't Drink coffee, soda, tea or Alcohol, abstains from Sex before marriage, and never Smokes is not a group I'm interested in joining.

Believing in something and proceeding to zealously spread it around does not mean you are not dispensing spiritual poison. They're professionals.

We had some Mormon missionaries in this part of New Hampshire but they are gone.  I don't know what happened.  It must be too cold for them.  I have been to Utah and it is mostly desert and warm.  Mormons must reproduce better in desert air.

Mormons don't bug me, so I don't really care.  As far as evil, I don't think so in the least.

Evil?  I'm not sure.  A weirdo religious cult?  Most certainly.  Beset with unsavory goings on behind the scenes that are usually hidden from the public eye?  You bet.  My exposure to this cult was when I was a teenager and Elders of the church in my old neighborhood in Jersey were "recruiting" young followers for the church.  As these Elders were also predatory homosexuals, they were "recruiting" me for other purposes, as well.  You know, the old set-up: invited me over to watch the baseball game on the color TV, plenty of beer and wine and cigarettes available and then the conversation inevitably turning to the topic of what I did to releave myself sexually.  Someone I knew who was also "recruited" ended up being coercised into having an ongoing thing with one of the Elders that lasted until he was 16, or, too old for the child molesting sodomite's tastes.  This person ended up having serious emotional problems later in life because of this sexual abuse.  So, that's what I know about these perverts and weirdos.

I don't subscribe to many of their ideas, but I don't see them as evil. Religions who believe that you should be beheaded or disemboweled for disagreeing with them could be called evil. People who peacefully ask you to consider their beliefs aren't evil.
