While I didn't care for the show I saw at the Kennedy Center I did appreciate the building. You can get a wonderful view of DC from the decks of the Kennedy Center, which is worth a stop in. There is also usually an exhibit in the entrance which will keep you entertained!

I've seen several productions there, but the last time I was there it thought it was fraying around the edges.

Any trip to the Center at any time is well worth the effort. (They offer free shuttles to the Metro at certain times.) The quaility of work brought to the Center is always excellent. There is always something for everyone, even for those who can't afford a ticket...The Kennedy Center offers a free program daily at 6pm on the Millennium Stage in the Grand Foyer. Folk, rock, symphonic, choral, theatrical performances and others presented by the Performing Arts for Everyone Initiative...a great way to enjoy the arts. We've never been disappointed. There is even a cafeteria upstairs with good fare (and a view) at reasonable prices.

If you are visiting DC and have an opportunity to see a show (Opera, Play, National Symphony) you have to do it. The acoustics are great in all the rooms and if its a nice evening you get a beautiful view of Washington, and the Potomac by walking along the decks and rooftops during intermissions.
