Don't know about 'old,' but this was the kind of well below average beer that you and other 15 year old rascals would try to get some one to buy for you when you desperately needed to get hammered but only had 11 bucks in funds between all of you back in the day...'blue ribbon' my ass...

I suppose it describes it to some degree. It also describes most other kinds of beer; as well as whiskey, scotch, the Model T, Dick Van Dyke....

We have also found that people loves beer no matter what....If it's beer it has to be good ha ha
