China. The crux of the problem is that communism purports to put
power in the hands of the people but has traditionally just shifted
power to a totalitarian regime in the name of the
people. Like the socialist movement from which it grew, it's also
ripe for abuse, and the nations that practiced it didn't have effective
methods of abuse prevention. However, it's a dying system and
unlikely to cause world collapse unless it experiences a resurgence.
