By Season Three I voted myself off the island. But Seasons One and Two were some of the most imaginative and mysterious TV we have seen in a while. To me, the show lost its way early, and by season three -- after an ocean of back stories that became increasingly annoying as they took up much of the hour and avoided the true and compelling questions about the island -- I tuned out finally in utter frustration. Especially when the plot twists made it evident that no one guiding the series had thought the story through past a first season. In fact, the creatures that roamed the island and routinely ate people -- literally disappeared by episode four of season one. This kind of instability, not even the strong and interesting cast could compensate for. You had to seriously be into this show, not to notice that the writers were actually making it all up as they went along. Nothing wrong with inventing as you go, but finally, pulling stuff out of your a** for years at a time -- while viewers watch with the hope of having mysteries solved with some logic and answers that you hoped were as clever as the mysteries -- wore thin on this viewer.

So far one of the best TV Shows ever, I just hope that they give it the ending it deserves. On the surface it may look like it's just another story about plane crash survivors on a tropical island, but the show explores many themes that I think we all can relate to: redemption and sacrifice, science vs faith, coincidence vs fate, and lots more. I got hooked up after I saw a couple of episodes in a row and have been a fan ever since. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you to shut yourself up and watch at least the Pilot. I guaratee that you won't be able to stop watching! Go catch up before the final season starts on January 2010.

It was much better before they started trying to explain all the mysteries. It's still entertaining, but the magic is gone.

Locke, he makes this show, but I love the fat , lovable Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, that Australian babe, and the Iraqi. The shows keep you hanging, and you can't wait to see what other weird stuff they will show next.

Lost is a complex puzzle mystery of a drama that defies strict genre categorization. The series follows the passengers of an ill-fated plane that's wrecked on a tropical island. The characters quickly learn that there's something different about the island when they begin to spot dead relatives, experience spontaneous healings, and encounter sentient forces unknown to science. Lost is highly regarded for the talent of its actors, its multilayered, continuously evolving portrayal of its main characters, its moral ambiguity, and its intricate, interwoven mysteries. Over the years, Lost has addressed a spectacular array of paranormal hot topics such as time travel, multiple dimensions, precognition, telepathy, telekinesis, faith healing, shamanic visions, poltergeists, and parapsychological research. However, critics of the series worry that the show will never tie up all its loose ends. A brilliantly creative sci-fi/fantasy that will succeed if it doesn't wander off track as it wraps up in the next few seasons.
