Tried a bunch of other foods to help my dog with his "stomach" issues. This food was the only one that helped. Their customer service was great in helping me pick the right food and make the switch without any issues. When you look at the ingredients it has so many of thing things I eat to stay healthy. I am a believer in this brand and will recommend it to all my pet owning friends!!!

About a year ago after coming off of a veteranarian prescribed diet, I switched my dogs food to Blue Buffalo with horrible results. After weeks of gradually adding it to her diet... then a few more weeks, hoping she would finally acclimate... she was still having diarrhea and had no energy and overall was not doing so well. I decided to try another brand. After a couple of days, she was back to normal. Had more energy, shinier coat and most importantly - regular bowel movements. If you decide to try this brand, keep the receipt (some stores like petsmart will refund your purchase) just in case it doesn't work out for your dog.

I have a 5 1/2 month old Rott that I switched to Blue Puppy food at 2 Months. Naturaly with the changing of any diet he had runny stool. I kept a close eye and made sure he had plenty of water and after 2-3 weeks it staightened up. He is more active, more muscular, and his Vet says he's in exceptional health. My close friend who recommended Blue to me has several Rotts that eat Blue food and all are very good looking animals. I know with all things there are good and bad, and there are those who agree and those who disagree. Every pet is different. I choose Blue....

This food caused my poor one year old pug to have diarrhea and an upset stomach the entire time he was on it (one week and a half). I wanted to switch from Purina to better, more healthier food when I decided to switch to Blue. When I introduced him to the food, he loved the taste. After two days his stool became very soft and it got progressively worst. After three days he didn't want to eat it anymore and he stayed away from his bowl. I fed him Blue for one and a half weeks to see if his stool would harden and/or get better, but it didn't. Apparently this is a common Blue side effect on many dogs. I did not have a good experience with Blue and recommend that if you try it, start with the smallest bag available and closely monitor your buddy's stool and behavior.

This food has caused diarrhea, vomiting in my dogs and my friend's dogs and has caused extreme tear staining on my friends light colored dogs. After they were switched to a different brand, their tear staineds completely disappeared in a manner of a month. There is definitely something in there that is either and allergen or some thing that does not agree with the body. Blue Buffalo was recalled along with other pet foods due to the ingredients from China. MORE RECENT WARNING about Blue Buffalo: http://wordsmoker.com/2009/07/27/blue-buffalo-brand-dog-food-kills-puppies/ The tainted pet food recall killed many of our pets! Blue Buffalo was also part of the recall, which leads us to believe that they use ingredients from China. I work at a pet store that stresses natural and holistic foods and we have a monthly training where we are updated on the different natural dog foods and the different proteins, carbs, fats, and other ingredients that are put into dog food. I gave one out of five because I am not impressed. One because they are at least natural and holistic and should be commended for at least putting forth a decent effort and minus four because I do not like that this food has such a poor choice in proteins. Also, almost every customer who tries this food returns it because either the blue bits made their dog throw up, or it trashed their dogs coat, or their dog is allergic to chicken and they can't feed it, or their dog wanted nothing to do with the food. I have a malamute and a chow-mix (both rescues), one of which has SERIOUS allergies and the other is VERY picky. I have to find foods that both can eat and although the food is good on paper...in real life its a major disappointment. Also, I have no... Read more

I used to buy whatever dog food I had a coupon for. But when my otherwise healthy springer spaniel died of cancer at age 6, I started looking more closely at the ingredience label on the dog food I bought, thinking that might have something to do with it. When I adopted my new puppy last spring, I decided to start feeding her only the best food I could find. Friends warned me about feeding food containing by-products and corn. They also suggested I buy a "natural" brand. That's when I discovered Blue Buffalo. The more I researched Blue Buffalo the more confident I felt about feeding it to my puppy. My puppy is now almost a year old and very healthy. She has a great coat, plenty of energy, and seems to really like Blue Buffalo. I am just about to move from "puppy" to "adult."

Macy, my 11 yo poodle, was on death row in the dog pound four years ago. I rescued her knowing that she could not keep food in her stomach long enough to digest it....probably the reason her owners dumped her. After weeks of re-hab on white rice and chicken broth we tried many foods with no luck until someone suggested Blue Buffalo, Senior chicken formula. She still today can only eat Blue Buff or she gets horribly sick for days. Many of my friends have switched to Blue products knowing that Macy was saved by the purity of the ingredients. They have all been thrilled with the results. Healthier coats, better mobility, and even smarter brains! I just wish they would make People Food..
