It'll cost you a small fortune to take your wife & kids to this glorified strip mall with rides.Oh, yes- and Jackson is the deer tick capital of the state.

Six Flags Great Adventure: Jackson, New Jersey 3

This park is what it is if you want to hit some coasters up and you are relatively close go for it , yes everything is expensive just like every other park I have ever been to and the people who go are a mix of New York , New Jersey, Pennsylvania mostly thrillseekers , however if your looking for a family vacation or long weekend trip this is not for you , this park is just not geared for family you would be better of heading south to Virginias Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens.

There is a lot of crappy things that comes out of NJ-Tanning mom, Snookie, the real housewives of NJ, Gov. Chris Christie, and that includes Great Adventure. Those parasites bled your wallet dry with their parking fees, theme park admission, and food prices(3.50 for a bottle of soda?). They don't invest the money in cleaning up their parks(their Nathans is crawling with insects) and their bathrooms is a hot mess. The majority of the people who visit that places are filthy barnyard animals (with the exception of moi)

As for the entertainment factor, they got rid of majority of their shows and have two sad sea lions. If you are not a big rollercoaster fan, you would be disappointed. They recycled the old rides and their overhype swing ride is not worth the wait. I also heard that they got rid of their drive through safari(I am not going to sit in a non-air condition car and watch the peasants drool over those tasty ostrichs). I would rate the NJ's Great Adventure in the bottom 20 not top 10.
