One of my favorite players ever...a terrific low past player, penetrator the basket and one of the finest finishers in fast break ever....If Magic Johnson was Lakers Joe Montanta, then Worthy was Jerry Rice....always great in clutch, in game seven of 1988 NBA Finals registed triple-double with 36 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists and was named MVP of series....also very selfless player never demanding spotlight or concerned about how many points he scored, he just wanted to win...Jerry West was right on by selecting him with first pick overall in 1982 draft over Dominque Wilkens and Terry Cummings...low light of career was final moments of Game 2 of 1984 NBA Finals where he threw pass which was intercepted by Gerald Henderson and promptly scoring game tying layup, and which Celticis eventually won in OT, also missed crucial free throw in overtime of game four...But his overall play with Lakers where he was key factor in winning three championships more then made up for those two short comings
