DJ was a great all around combo-guard and a a great defender (you could say he was the original Joe Dumars although DJ couldn't really explode offensively like Joe did and didnt have his quickness) and is best remembered for his lockdown job on Magic during the 84 Finals, where he started guarding him in the second half of game 4 of the series which really slowed down the Lakers running game. He could also come up big when the Celtics really needed it and is best remembered for hitting the game winning jumper in game 4 of the 1985 NBA Finals.
