I'd knock this down a touch because his death in a plane crash occurred well after his career was over, unlike most of this list who were still active.
That being said, he was still far too young.

Rocky retired as the only undefeated heavyweight champion is the history of boxing. His life was cut short. He was a good role model and spokesman for boxing worldwide.
