On defense, Kite was actually somewhat useful banger in post who could pull down boards. He also helped the team win game three of 87 Finals by getting back on defense and clogging Laker break and even blocking a shot by Magic Johnson when he drove to the basket. But never averaged more then 10  minutes per game as Celtic and is arguably one of the worst offensive plyaers and least graceful in NBA history and did nothing to shatter stereotype of big slow white guy.
