Arguably the greatest amateur team of all time even with Bobby Knight cutting the likes of Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and John Stockton in favor of Joe Kleine, Jeff Turner and Leon Wood. However the core players of this team: Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin and Sam Perkins and Alvin Robertson-all who would go onto be high NBA Draft picks and excellent NBA outsanding careers-(and of course Jordan going on to become the greatest player of all time) were more then enough to bring home the gold.  With most communist nations boycotting  84 Olympics, most notably the Soviet Union, there was no serious challenge for  this squad as it destroyed all of its opponents
