I thought it was even more beautiful than the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, after which it was modeled.

The Basilique de Notre-Dame is a must-see when you are in the Montreal area. As a non-Catholic I didn't think I would "get it" or enjoy it that much, but boy, was I wrong! It is beautiful, and huge with lots to marvel at. The church areas are wonderfully detailed, and beyond those, escalators take you up to view marvellous museum-like exhibits. Don't miss it!
