This is a great value at around $21 for 750 ml in a NJ liquor store in 01/08. It is comparable to French VSOP Cognacs selling for about $35. The taste is smooth, with almost no bite in the finish. If price/value is factored into the rating it merits 5 stars. I was truly "Surprised."

First produced in 1961 as a dedication to the 22nd Communist Party Congress. It is aged for not less than 10 years in oak barrels according to classical "French methode". In the year of its release it was unofficially nicknames as "the spirit of the party". Very delicate and harmonious, with fine balanced bouquet having resinous and floral tones.
