An educational experience. When the time comes for me to teach any one of my grandchildren the meaning of the word 'an instant,' I take them for a drive. I tell them in advance to look out for the time for us to wait under a traffic light and watch out for the light to change from red to green. Click. Hooonk! Beep! Braat! "There" I say "that is what is known as an instant." And they are thusly enlightened.

Annoying, but still a bit better than those who honk when the light's red. Lke I can do anything about it.

Ok...you should give a person more than a millionth of second to react. However, people need not get so upset about being honked at. Horns are a way of communicating on the road, yet many people get the feeling that they are only used in anger or frustration.

I swear, I think some people sit there with their hand on their horn, waiting for the second the light changes. With me, it has he opposite effect. When someone starts blowing their horn the second the light changes, I stare at them in the rearview mirror for about four seconds, then slowly pull away. HA! I am in front! I have the power!
