Well, I must say things have improved with this.  Usually, I'll get a call when they are on the way and it is pretty much between the hours they said.  Haven't had a problem with this in a few years.

In my experience, you should be grateful he got there on the same day.

This is why cable guys are hacks and I rule. When I get a route I call everyone and give them a rough window and my number. I then call to inform them I am in route or if I get hung up on a job I keep them informed. Amazing how much less pissy a customer is when you keep them informed...

"A service technician will be at your residence between the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 AM." Spsh... shows up about a 12:45.  He finally gets done about 1:45.  The worst part was, I was planning on being at work shortly after 10:00.  so i totally wasted more than half of my day waiting to go to work, with nothing to do at my house. I tried my best to be cordial.  i think i did a good job.

It would be bad if I actually had things to do during the day.
