I wouldn't have too much of a problem with it unless it was doggy doo or chewing gum, or something else of that nature.

Maybe it's just because I don't have my own home yet, but the way I see it, it's bound to happen.  I mean, they go from house to house, and they're likely to walk through some muddy yards.  That's what I have a carpet shampooer and the vacuum cleaner for.
