I dont give a sh1t about all the newest cell phones with all those fancy features. I just need one with a cam and Im good. Their are so many places that offer it and other ways of getting it. Maybe its convenient but its not a neccesity for me to have a phone thats wi-fi.

Hooray for being overly connected to the world. Question, do any of you want me to be able to be on rateitall no matter where I am? Didn't think so...

My phone has the capability to go online and play mp3s, but I don't go online on my phone, and I rarely use the mp3 part of the phone anymore now that I have a mp3 player. First and foremost, it's a phone, not a PDA.

Doesn't matter to me as I only use a cell phone to call people.

2008 is not the time for this brutal action, however the trend is definitely going in this direction. Instead of having cell phone, PDA, GPS, MP3 player, AVI player, and many other stand-alone devices, the cell phone should combine all of them. I know it is challenging to make such a combo without sacrificing the quality. But, we will eventally get there, adding many capabilities that I have not even mentioned, as credit card, radio, play station, etc.

This is an interesting one. I don't think 2008 will be the year to ditch phones without Wifi, but it's coming. What's really frustrating is these damn cell phone service agreements. I tried to buy an iPhone just for the wifi and web browsing. I didn't want to use the cell phone part, because I don't want to switch to ATT's crappy network. They wouldn't let me do it. In order to get your iPhone to work, you need to sign up for ATT at a minimum of $60 per month. Talk about thuggish marketing behavior... I ended up returning the iPhone.

I use my cell phone to make phone calls. That's pretty much it. If I want to do anything else, I own a laptop. High tech cell phones are just a way for cell phone companies to charge you extra for things that you are probably already paying an internet service provider to do from your computer.
