I wear them on times when I want to have a somewhat "sockless" appearance, and this is usually with sneakers. I like longer (mid-calf) socks, as well.

Well, I don't know about wearing them out in public, but I do wear them at home for comfort reasons, and there certainly is nothing wrong with that.

Much needed footwear for runners. Sweat and contaminants will ruin a good pair of running shoes in no time without them.

This is the damndest list, including these silly ass socks with Spock, evolution, typewriters and Nietzsche. Of course, its the product of one of the most closed minded, arrogant jerks who ever reviewed on here. Apparently, since he hasn't posted in eight months, he's ditched. us. Thank God.

It looks like it will have to be me who says it. They look girly.

Doesn't matter to me. Some people like em; others don't.

These look especially stupid on the basketball court. I'm not saying we need to go back to old school knee length socks, but people should at least be able to tell that you have socks on. Even worse, is guys on the court wearing these no show socks with low shoes. Not only does it look dumb, there's no ankle support. And since it's trendy, it's getting harder and harder to find a good pair of high top basketball shoes, which is what I want. Not only do they look better, but my ankles don't feel so naked.
