Didn't even know they still existed.

I can't imagine who all would still be using them, except those remote few in this fast-paced world who still don't have a computer. But it seems to me that if one has a computer (along with a printer), there'd be no need for a typewriter.

Um, I haven't used one in a good 15 years.

Typewriters are not used very much anymore, and they are considered outdated because as long as you have a computer with a keyboard and a printer there isn't much use for one. But there are a lot of offices that still have typewriters, even if they just sit around and collect dust. My office, for one, still has one.

I had impression, that they were already scrapped more than 10 years ago...

If you think this is finally the year to give up the typewriter, then you must have 2008 confused with 1988. It doesn't belong on this list. If anything, the typewriter is poised to make a comeback among the hipsters of the world.

Does anybody still use a typewriter? Last one I saw was in a thrift store next to some VCR tapes and a rotary phone. I literally pointed and laughed.

They're outdated. I hardly know anyone who uses a typewriter anymore.
