I think the winner is totally legit in their claim to have been through the paces that they put the contestants through and emerged on top. It's just that the competition itself is a indulgent exercise in all that is shallow and worthless in our culture.

Just because Tyra Banks is ditz doesn't mean the new models won't get a lot of work.

The losers from American Idol have a better chance at a post-reality tv career than the actual winners from this show.  Most "top model" start modeling at a much younger age and designers don't want the attention taken away from their clothes. 

I also love how Tyra rigged the outcome in favor of her friend from T-Zone camp.
