For long time, Ukrainian Language was considered "redneckish". But, when in 1991 Ukraine declared independence Ukrainian has been announced the language of the state, pushing Russian from the official levels of communication. Living with neighboring Russia with strong powerful culture, it was not easy to preserve its own for Ukraine.
Ukrainian is very melodious and beautiful language. Thus it’s often called solovjina mova (the nightingales’ tongue).
