I agree with Loerke; Tynes got it right in the end. I too was rooting for Green Bay and if they had to lose as least this kicker found his redemption.

One star just for giving new meaning to the expression "The third time's a charm." A second star for toughness: I was rooting for the Packers but still felt enormous sympathy for Tynes after those two misses. A final star for beating the odds: at some point in the game I heard the commentators say that no kicker had ever made a 40+ yarder in a playoff game at Lambeau.

One of my least favorite things in sports is watching place kickers fail at the ends of critical games. It's oddly heartbreaking. Kickers like Tynes are obvious outsiders - not considered true athletes, and not considered part of the team. To watch whole seasons riding on the backs of these guys is just about too much pressure to bear. I'm hoping Tynes gets one more shot at redemption.

Update: He got his chance... awesome ending.
