its a tragedy that a talented good looking young man with everything going for him but lacked the common sense to .not test his mortality

He was a fine actor and he generally chose interesting roles in decent films. His passing was nothing more than another in a long line of people who have checked out too soon due to their own lack of attention to the basics of good common sense, look both ways before crossing the street, dress properly for the weather and don't put anything in your mouth if you don't know where it's been. Neither a tragedy nor, sadly, a cautionary tale.

Just another moderately talented actor who died of a drug overdose. I have trouble feeling sorry for people like this. People can cry all they want, but it was his own fault.

Probably the most annoying dead celebrity.  There are probably better actors on rateitall.  'The Joker?'...give me a break.

Heath was an amazing actor with an an unforgettable talent. I don't see why he had to die when he had barely begun living, and now all that talent is gone. But he will never be forgotten for his unique talent, his loving characteristics , and his message to us.

Heath was one of my favorite actors. He did an amazing job as the joker in the new batman movie...he is sorely missed already. His friends and family are in my prayers.

I HATE DRUGGIES

He was a decent actor, but I can't say I grieved a moment for him. 

I may be a touch cold-hearted, but another addition to the list of self-destructive celebrities doesn't really matter much to me.

Look, he's going to be a fine Joker, but this one's been overblown by a media who is tired and bored of the same stories. . .he was an okay actor but the only real loss on a macro-level is the decrease in sizzling panties worn by Ledger's female fans in movie theaters.

It is always a tragedy when someone so young dies. He had some talent as an actor and had a bright future ahead of him. felt bad for his family in Australia having to hear the news of their son's death on the radio.  He should have had years ahead of him instead of only 28 years old.

He was a good bloke, but a soft person, maybe like a River Phoenix, who couldn't handle the stress of his career
and life. He was a very important star
who died at almost the height of his career.

He died way too young....wayyyy too young.  Had a crush on him for awhile.

He still had so much talent to give to the world.   It shame that Heath couldn't fight his  'inner demons' off.

Wow...Heath Ledger becomes the second 20-something actor to die of a drug overdose already this month. He was a very prolific actor at such a young age and had a bright future. Such a shame to see somebody throw their life away when they seem to have so much going for them.
