Its pretty good depending on your area and what you're looking for. The problem is that everybody and their mom goes to walmart to get what they need. A lot of times, items are out of stock because people are constantly picking them over. I have shopped in various walmarts in and around my area. The common theme seems to be that the staff has no idea what they are doing. Expect to wait forever when you need assistance with anything. The only people who sort of look like they know what is going on are working the main checkout stations. Some of the stupidest, most oblivious idiots I have ever come across work at walmart. If you're one of them and you're reading this, then thumbs up to your mom for letting you pop out of her gaping twat and allowing you to become a useless worker.

This is my first time ordering from the Wal-mart website, I honestly chose it because of the cheep price and nothing else. Anyway, I ordered the Platinum edition of NGE and because I wanted to watch it as soon as possible, I chose 2-3 day shipping with a $5.95 shipping fee. Well, the order arrived 9 days later (including a 4 day wait for processing), kind of long I thought, but it did arrive in pristine condition and now I'm a pretty satisfied customer! So would I recommend Wal-mart, probably not. the shipping is much faster on Amazon, so I'll continue to order most of my stuff from there.

As much as some people hate Wal-Mart, I don't have anything against the place. If there wasn't an Aldi store within a reasonable distance, I'd probably do most of my grocery shopping at Wal-Mart. Their prices are decent (better than Hy-Vee, the only chain of large grocery stores around here), and they have a pretty good selection. As it's the only large store I can get to without crossing over I-80, it's a good place to go to pick up a few things quickly.

I hate Walmart in Lexington, NC on Lowe's Blvd. mainly because they refuse to stand behind what they sell. Ive had several run in's with the Walmart in Lexington, NC. Ive bought movies there and when I opened it I found the episode guide missing from the inside pocket, I tried to take it back but they said since it was opened they could'nt take it back, to me, thats like saying if you buy a shirt and take it off the hanger, they can't take it back. They said they would give me the same thing back, I said great!, but they wee out of it, so I asked if I could get a rain check till they got more in, they said no, the only option I had was to pick out something of equal value. Couldn't get a rain check, a gift card, nothing... then, shorly afterwards, I ordered 6 8x10's on their online website, they were suppose to be 2.89 a piece, when I went to the store the next day to pick them up, they charges me like 3.87 a piece I walked out of the store and have never been back and won't go back. Customer service? Anyone? Sure, prices at WalMart are great, until you realize how crappy the quality is. Okay, a Blake Shelton CD from WalMart is the same as a Blake Shelton CD from your local record store... But a tri-tip roast from WalMart has NO marbling and is tougher than a hemp rope... Don't get me started on their produce! Their wine selection is fine for people that consider raccoon a delicacy. (I recommend a cheap Australian shiraz with raccoon.) Unfortunately for their target demographic, they don't sell raccoon meat. As to the quality of their durable goods, forget it. Walmart buys the cheapest crap available and passes the savings (and crap) onto you. I'd rather spend a couple extra dollars on T-shirts and socks just to have products that don't fray after a few uses. They sell everything from unreliable alarm clocks to knives that dull after one use. Again, you can find some decent quality items at reasonable prices there. But the 'great deals'-- the really-... I really dislike shopping at Walmart - but it is right next to both my job and my apartment and they really do have the lowest prices of anybody close to me. The problem lies in both the store's overall hygiene and the atrocious customer service. Generally speaking, the cashiers are ridiculous. If you manage to get more than a grunt out of one of them, when they do talk it is always topical on how much they hate their jobs, how tired they are or some derivative of the sort. I'm a friendly guy - I always say hello and ask people how they are. Not at Walmart anymore. They get a grin and nothing else - unless they speak, which is rare. Filthy store, filthy employees - if I couldn't get my grocery items cheaper I'd happily go elsewhere.

I used to like this chain but this was before I moved to America and realized what they were all about!!! I would have to say I have not been offended but somewhat disappointed at times by their assistance. Their adverts are correct in saying that they have allot of cheap prices, but you have to understand what you pay for is what you get! They are great for Christmas and holidays but as a store to shop regularly, eh NO! I do object to the way they blast us every second on the TV and Radio and I do object to the way they have and sometimes do treat their employees. But in general I would say they are OK.

I hate shopping at my local Wal-Mart. It's never clean, the restrooms are disgusting, and there is always food from the deli or produce laying around in the middle of the isles (not on the grocery side, either). And the customer service is ridiculous. Every time I go in there they never have more than five registers open (unless it's around Christmas or Black Friday), and there are NO self-checkouts. There are also associates standing around chit chatting and doing nothing else. Never am I asked by a floor associate if I'm finding everything I'm looking for or if I need help. I even see management standing around, doing nothing. I'm a stay-at-home mother and just recently started spoon-feeding my daughter. They are always out of Nursery Water and Gerber's Carrots (1st Foods Purees). I'm short (5'3'') and have trouble reaching the infant cereal placed on the very top shelf in the baby aisle and there is never an associate in the area to ask for assistance. The live pets (fish) sec... Read more

A pretty good place to shop. The prices are low and the service USUALLY good, although from time to time you will come accross a cranky clerk. They have a wide selection here, but when you are looking for a lesser known brand, you may not find it here. Overall Walmart is ok, but Kroger works a little better.

Are they nice to shop in Yesss! However the one by my house they are very rude and have no concept of Customer Service. Are we alright with rude employees as long as we are getting good deals? Just another corp all about the money who cares about people. People are just a tool to become being rich

Empty shelves, dirty floors and rude employees. If you dare venture in there after dark watch out for the shopper zombies ( customers who walk around with vacuous looks on their faces ).

finally one that is in my part of the world. i like shopping at walmart on occasion but i get distracted away easily from the groceries and land up spending the next two weeks wondering how i'm going to eat that outfit or whatever else i decided was more important to buy than  groceries.

I know there's a lot of people that make fun of WalMart, and I will admit at times I have been very put out with them. But I think they have some of the best prices around, and when you're living on a budget, you learn to appreciate stores like WalMart.

I do my best to avoid buying anything Made In China, so my choices at Walmart are limited. However, I see little or no point in paying 25 to 30 percent more for most groceries in other chain stores.Nevertheless, Walmart doesn't get my meat or fresh produce business 'cause Publix quality is worth the premium prices on these items.

Low prices, long checkout lines, and rather limited selection of foods. So far they have run two other supermarkets out of business since they opened.

Store is clean, product selection fair to good, as are prices.  Checkout and payment options excellent, and rolling stock closely monitored and repaired.  Glad they're in my area.

Walmart is rude, inconsiderant and full of rotten crap. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. Checkers are slow.

I really like the WalMart Superstores. The stores we have are clean and well stocked. Some are concerned when WalMarts come to a community because they believe they force small businesses to close because they can not compete. I hate to see this but from a consumers point of view I enjoy the savings that WalMart stores bring.

With gas prices sky high, it's nice to be able to shop in one big store for everything. WMS isn't perfect, but it's great to have them in our area.

Pros: Stores are clean. Grocery prices are good. Full array of payment options. Good checkout. Good customer service. Good rolling stock. Groceries part of huge WalMart complex. Cons: Less variety than some other grocery chains Inventory pricing monitored very closely; if you buy too much of an item you may see a higher price next time.
