Lies. Joe Satriani is the greatest guitarist of all time. I am sick of people claiming that instrumentals have no talent. What takes more time and care: spouting some words thought up in five minutes or playing an intricately planned guitar solo, and taking care and practice to get it perfect? Satch rules, and is hardly credited for it.
