I wasn't expecting Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins to be that great of a movie, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. It had a great cast and there were great lines all the way through. Mo'Nique's role was hilarious, Mike Epps is always funny, and any appearance by James Earl Jones has to be worth something. The story felt like a family movie, although the jokes were crude enough that I wouldn't watch it with a young kid. However, it was something worth seeing with an adolescent. There were plenty of real laughs, mixed in with some solid lessons about family values. It was definitely an enjoyable film and an underrated comedy.
